This guy claims to Live in Michigan (moved here when he was 6 from Turkey and raised by his grandmother) but is currently in the Army in Syria. I met him on Words with Friends and he immediately wanted to chat on Google Hangouts. He said he wasn't allowed to have a cell phone on base. I immediately had red flags but played along anyway. After several months of texting there and professing his love, he magically obtained a cell phone with "his Michigan cell phone #" and started texting me. After about a week he asked me who my cell phone carrier was. I thought this was very suspicious and looked up scams about asking for cell phone carriers. I found out about portal scams and I immediately blocked his cell phone #, on Words With Friends, and on Google Hangouts.
