The advertisement was originally seen on Facebook. The advertisement seems legitimate enough to lure people in, thinking they can make 300-400 dollars a month by just having a vinyl on the back window of their vehicle. I have seen and heard of this before, from legitimate companies, so I figured I'd give it a go. Signed up on their website, and they asked for Name, Email, and Phone number. Received a call from them a few minutes after, wanting to activate the account, before I finished the online tutorial it provided.

The agent stated that most people make 300-400 dollars a month, and it would be commission based, and eventually a guaranteed monthly payment. They will explain a whole bunch of stuff, just to keep you on the line and get you hooked. Eventually, the agent brought up that it would cost 19.99 for the vinyl decal, which is their cost for producing it. I asked why, and the agent responded saying that that is their way of making sure it would be put on the vehicle. Said that I would be advertising for a company called Zap Satellite TV, which after looking it up, is a business based out of Africa. I asked the agent what country it was based out of after looking it up, and they said the United States. I asked for more information about it, and I was provided with the website http://www.zapsatellitetv.com/ - which is a very poorly made website and does not even function properly. On the Zap Satellite TV website, requesting a quote provides the message "A representative will be in touch shortly with a custom deal." - when the website is supposedly in the business of reselling satellite TV.

I told the agent that there was no Zap Satellite TV company legally registered in the United States, and they asked if I was sure. I told them that they just wasted their time and company resources and that I would be reporting their scam. The agent then got an attitude and said: "If that makes me happy." - which just confirmed their scam.

I have been looking for employment through a resource website that my college provides to students called collegecentral.com. I notice a "Get Paid to Drive" advertisement and when I had clicked on it it seemed to good to be true. Getting paid almost $400 a week to simply drive my car around with some Olympic 2018 stickers on it. I personally reached out using my email because there was an option to do so and immediately I had someone contact me to say that an opportunity had just opened up and they needed some basic information such as full name, current address, phone number, and make/model/year of vehicle. Within a day I received an email stating that I was approved and that they would start the process of detailing my vehicle before the end of the week. When I tried to contact the number provided it was a generic "this caller is not available" answering machine. That is when I decided to use google to see if this was actually a thing and stumbled across this link that confirmed my suspicions. http://fox59.com/2017/05/26/college-student-warns-of-olympic-themed-job-scam/

I have also attached a letter I received after submitting my basic information.
