I received my Articles of Organization for my business on 5/30/2023 and have been targeted 3 times in the last two weeks by scammers. On 6/7/2023 I went to the IRS website and obtained my EIN number for free. On 6/9/2023, I received a mailing via USPS that said the following: FRONT OF CARD: "* Please respond by 3/21/23* EIN/TAX APPLICATION ASSISTANCE INFORMATION. [my home mailing address not the business mailing address]." The postal info in the right corner said "Mailed from Zip Code 33534. Presorted First Class U.S. Postage Paid. Permit no. 602". BACK OF CARD: "EIN/TAX ASSISTANCE INFORMATION. What is an EIN number? The Employer Identification Number (EIN), also known as the Federal Employer Identification number (FEIN), is a unique nine-digit number assigned to business entities [.....etc. etc. etc.]" / "You will need an EIN to pay federal taxes, hire employees, open a bank account, and apply for business licenses and permits. GET APPLICATION ASSISTANCE AT GETMYEIN.ORG RECEIVE YOUR EIN/TAX ID WITHIN 24 HOURS. NEED HELP? (888)983-2719."

The mailing looks official, but has no identifying information, no return address, it only has a toll-free phone number and web site address on it. The Website only has a phone number and links to make a purchase for an EIN number based on the type of business and has no contact information or "about us" section. Pricing is not available unless I click on the link for the type of business I have. I am not risking clicking a link on their web site. I ran the web site address through a WhoIs Domain search and saw that they are hosted on GoDaddy.com which is a known haven for scam web sites. All of this entity's contact information was "Redacted for Privacy" which sends up a huge red flag. I have reported GETMYEIN.ORG to the IRS through [email protected].
