They sell knock off water filters. They don't answer their phone. They have someone who emails you back with a cookie cutter response. They state that I am welcome to keep the items but "Due to recent warehouse renovations, we are temporarily unable to accept returns."

Bought 2 of these for $49 at this website . The price of retail store is $45.
Web page says filters were genuine. Product did not work. Had to buy the one at Lowe's and of course worked immediately. After 3 weeks of calling and emailing gewaterfilterpros to return the defective product , finally somebody answered. First send me a video to find the chip area to place the chip of the filter I just removed. I send her a video showing that the filter was covered with a large label. I pulled the label as instructed and there was no chip. Not even place to put a chip. see pictures.
This was CSR answer:
"sorry for the inconvenience caused to you. Our product is a replacement version without a chip, which is aimed to give customers the best price. I am aimed at providing high-quality customer service to our precious customers. Would a 60% partial refund be an option for you? We would like to remind you that it may bring you extra cost on the shipping fee according to our return policy if you initiate the Return and Refund".

I had to take the 60% or nothing.
This product came from china. Complete scam. I understand there are different websites selling filters directly mailed from china.
Go to the website gewaterfilters.com to see a picture of only telemarketers. Too bad I trusted the website because started with the letters GE.

Received counterfeit water filter from China. I was able to get my money back through PayPal.

Filters arrived but did not fit or work. When comparing to original filter it was clear these were counterfeit. I contacted the company and they offered a 80% refund. I’ve reported this to GE as fraud and told the company I want 100% refund. No reply

This company's website makes you think they're based in Alabama, but the filters are shipped from China. So, they're not official GE products. Even worse: these counterfeit filters don't work. Real GE filters are equipped with a microchip beneath the label. Without the chip, you can't dispense water or ice. (The photo shows the counterfeit filter with a chip I took from GE's bypass plug.) When I complained, GEwaterfilterpros offered a 60% refund--better than nothing, I guess. But it's still a 40% waste of money and a 100% waste of time.

I went online to search for GE water filter replacements for my fridge. The website had HTTP and appeared legit from Alabama. I couldn't see anything wrong in review either good or bad and nothing came up when I searched signaling it was a scam. I should've realized the price on 3 filters isn't legit GE filters. However I didn't. I thought if a reseller buys in bulk GE maybe makes their items cheaper. However, I went to check my shipping and low and behold my items are coming from CHINA. so, I investigated more only to find to see new articles about another site, filters seized through customs involving filters and any of these ones from China are in deed counterfeit and not legit. My filters never arrived and are showing an exception on the aftership tracking. So, I now know I got scammed and feel like an [censored]. I now need to get filters locally or direct from GE and see if paypal can reimburse me. They aren't legit GE filters and will void your fridge warrenty.
