My name is Joshua and I was contacted by a Jeffrey Flood about the same job as a part time payroll clerk. I've actually been contacted before this but it was for a cleaning job and I'm not sure if it's legit or a scam. I attached a screenshot of one of the emails I received and I'm just looking to find out if it's a real thing or not.

I was contacted by andre Aaron who sent a group chat to myself and about 10 other people in a mass group chat about a job offer for a Payroll Clerk Assistant. At first he didn't say exactly who he was at first in the text he then sent a link for the job for those of us who replied yes to his text message. It contained a website link for a individual to fill out for the Payroll job it asked for our age, sex, current occupation, and email and good contact number to be reached at. Andre Aaron then sent me a text message to confirm that i was who i said i was and then he told me the materials that i needed to purchase via text message then he proceeded to repeatedly ask about if i ordered the materials. My response to him was that i wasn't ordering any of the materials until i had solid employment documentation saying or as proof that i had officially been hired by the company he still never directly stated the company's name or any benefits or anything like that. When i received the email from Andre Aaron it contained the application which states a company Called GFI GROUP OF COMPANY. I clicked on the website link within the application to see if it was a fake or not and also to try and contact a real person however the office was closed and i did leave a message to find out if this person Andre Aaron is a scam or not or if this company is even hiring anybody for a work from home job. Also i have all screen shots of all communications with Andre Aaron because he also requested me to email him the receipt for the ordered materials and he had me download a contact application called WhatsApp because he stated that was a better way to communicate with each other. Then he then proceeded to mention bitcoin and using crypto currency to pay clients, and also he asked me for full access to my personal banking account and stated it so the company can monitor the clients' money getting sent and distributed however i did not respond to him or give him any access to any of my banking information because to me that was a super huge flag after he asked me about whether or not if i lived alone and who i live with specifically. Also now that i purchased the materials i realize that some of the items that i might not be able to use for regular in house use may or may not be refunded back to me. All total the materials costed me $118 which includes the cost of shipping and handling and sales taxes.
