The scam is that this company claims that you have an "expired travel account" to coerce and extort additional travel contracts for timeshare sales. On 04/07/2017 around 3:30 PM EST, I was contacted by Carl Williams. He claimed that he was not selling anything, but would assist me in clearing up an "expired travel account" that I had purchased several years back in 2012 to the Bahamas, but it had expired before I had a chance to use it. He "offered to help" by issuing another contract (for $498) with some additional vacation locations including free airfare. He claimed that I had an open account. When I asked for specifics he said only the account holder could give me that information and he couldn't access that data from within his system, but it appeared to be (from his experience) about a $700 vacation package that previously expired. He did provide a call-back number of 888-863-3803 and that his work hours were M-F 9-5 EST. He stated that a contract would be mailed to my home address and that I would have 'a 30-day review period.' He went on to say that there would be a 20% rescheduling fee if we needed to cancel or reschedule - and called it a 'rescheduling fee.' However, when I called and spoke with Tim on 4/18/17 and stated to him that I declined to sign the contract, he stated that I had agreed to a 20% RESTOCKING fee. Why would I have agreed to a RESTOCKING fee for an unsigned agreement? So, I was still scammed for an easy $100. I want my RESTOCK fee of $99.60 to be refunded.
