I clicked on YouTube and a very convincing blue screen popped up prompting me to call 1 800 631 3384. It was an error message, 333 I think. It warned me not to reboot or anything. It looked serious and real so I dialed the number. A man with an Indian accent pitched the scam to me and convinced me to provide my credit card number for a fee of $299.99 that would rid my computer of the issue and protect it for a year. The name of the outfit was Gigpcsupport. They took control of my desktop and ran their programs. It all seemed very legitimate but I realized it was a scam after a little research of my own. I called my credit card provider and cancelled the transaction before it could go through as well as the card number. Below you'll find some info from a note he left on my desktop.
