Purchased a weight set said to be on back order until 10/19/2020. After telling me that it was on it's way, they reported that the bar was shipped but the weights are on backorder until December. They then shipped a cheaper version from CAP which arrived 2 weeks later without the bar. After 4 days I cancelled the order as it was incomplete. They then had the bar shipped anyway and are now trying to charge 20% "admin fee" for the return. This is a classic bait and switch SCAM! Terrible transaction and then expect me to pay 20% for the terrible transaction experience.

You were offered a full refund when we first found out that there was a shipping error due to Covid-19 related issues, but you decided to go with a more expensive alternative item and we were happy to pay the extra costs for you. If we were a fraud company, you would not have received any item and we would have just kept your money. Fortunately, we are not a fraud company. We offered alternatives and you chose one of those alternatives and then did, in fact, receive the alternative. Our policy states that for non-quality related returns, any order that is canceled after 24 hours is subject to a 20% administration fee, whether or not your order has shipped. If the order has left the warehouse, you (the buyer) will also be responsible for the return shipping fees and the 20% administration fee, which is what happened here - you received an item and decided that you did not want the item. We waived the shipping fee because we understood your frustration with the shipping delay and we wanted to extend you some grace.

Ordered in August, was told the champion Olympic weight set would be back ordered until October 20. Strung us along then said it would be December, but have a CAP replacement. Classic bait and switch. SCAM! Don’t order through this company. They communicate well to string you along.

They have also blocked me from Facebook after posting a review

After sending the cheap replacement set, we received the set without the bar. After 4 days without confirmation of sending the missing bar I cancelled the set altogether as I was tired of dealing with this ineptitude. They then sent the bar the day after I cancelled and set up for return, but have the gumption to try and charge 20% "admin fee". All you need to know is don't use this company, I feel stupid for falling for their scam.

Due to circumstances beyond our control, your order was delayed. This would not have happened before Covid-19. We offered to give you a refund when your order was delayed and you decided to go with an alternate item. We can cancel your order still and give you a refund.

I ordered from Givhony Fitness because of the good reviews on the website. The website does state that they aren't open on the weekends, but somebody still responded to me when I sent an e-mail to [email protected]; so that was cool. I ordered the Champion Barbell Olympic 300 Lb. Economy Weight Set on July 28th. The description states whether an item is available or not and this one said that it wouldn't be available until until October, I was willing to wait because I couldn't find it anywhere else, but it actually just shipped. It was a nice surprise. This is the e-mail I received:

Great! Your item is on the way to its destination on 04 August, 2020 17:46.

I placed an order with the company on Saturday, August 1, 2020.

Upon reviewing my order I realized that it was now listed as a "preorder" for an item that would not be available until October 2020.

I attempted to contact your company by phone at both numbers listed on the website:

1-888-488-4669 (I received the following alert: " The number you have dialed is invalid. Please check your listing and try your call again.")

1-888-448-4669 (When the call was answered, no company name or individual's name was mentioned. Rather, music was played and a voice message came up stating, "Hi, thank you for calling, I am currently on another phone call or away from my desk. Please leave your name, phone number, and a brief message, and I will contact you as soon as possible. Thank you and have a good day.")

I also attempted to contact the company via the email address provided on the website ([email protected]), only to have the email bounce back as "undeliverable."

I received an email response shortly after I completed and submitted a contact form, with the message:

"We are not in the office on the weekends, but I just saw your email and cancelled your order.

Thank you,

Jennifer @ Givhony Fitness"

The website lists their hours as Mon.-Sat. in one section of the site and Mon.-Fri. in another section.

I feel sick that I didn't do my due diligence in researching this company--as I usually do.

Sorry you felt this way, but your order was cancelled and you received a full refund.
