I was initially contacted by someone on Instagram asking for my email for a potential modeling job and was then emailed by someone called Taylor Reed at Glam Style Cosmetics (a KDash company) using the email [email protected]. I was offered a job modeling in Miami in March and shown a tentative contract and asked to buy one of their lipsticks using a ‘spokesmodel’ code and then post pictures of myself wearing it and tag @officialinfatuations (whom they claimed to be collaborating with) in the photo. Then they set up a conference call with 10 other models to go over details. After then receiving an email asking me to do a consultation with a social media expert named Harold Emery, I started looking at the photos in which Infatuations Apparel (@officialinfatuations) had been tagged in and one includes a notice of a scam with the same email that I received almost verbatim, and the same contract just with different dates and instead of Glam Style it had the name KDASH on the contract and in the offer, which is what the copyright at the bottom of the glamstylecosmetics.com website says. I’m not writing in $1200 lost wages, but that is what they are offering to pay and then never do, according to other accounts of people who have been scammed by them. I only lost the money on the lipstick I optimistically bought planning on making up for it with the wages from the shoot. They may be planning to ask for us to pay the consultant as well, but we’ll hear about that next week.
