Hi, I am from Vancouver Island, BC. I have uncovered some shameless acts going on in your neighbourhood and feel I should warn others. I have been inquiring about chihuahua puppies and believe I have uncovered a heartless scam. There seems to be a number of websites with similar operations in several cities. They claim to have a 50% off sale puppies and free shipping. This person I communicated with was from DC. That was my first red flag as I knew to ship from DC to Vancouver Island would take majority, if not all the profit at $500. There were a number of red flags (including the western union payment request, that when I asked if I could pay by credit card or paypal they said their payment system had been hacked the previous week) and I still just about got sucked in because, well, its a puppy! I decided to do a domain search of their website and came up with that it had just been created on Jan 7, 2017 and she claimed to be a reputable breeder in the area for 20 years and looked like the creator was from Panama. She also claimed the dogs were AKC registered but yet when I did a search for her on the registry, nothing came up. When I started to ask more questions and for a picture of the puppy with my name written on a piece of paper beside it, she started laying on a guilt trip that I didn’t care about the puppy. This number was also used to text back and forth. When I called it, no one answered.
When I expressed concern about Western Union she said I could also send money by e-transfer to: [email protected]
These people are praying on animal lovers, and there are a bunch of other websites appearing to pull off the same scam.

I have been contacted this morning from another one from the email [email protected] an Anthony claiming to be from Minnesota. When I asked for a picture of the puppy and its papers he said ‘we don’t do that'
