I was on Facebook and I hit what I thought was the messenger app and out of the blue I was hit with all this Stop Trojan malware don't turn off your computer etc. and this number is the only number on there that you have to call to get out of this. It's like Global Bytes I P Solutions sets up these traps and when you spring one your trapped by this company. You have to call them to get free of it, that's when they start feeding you with this is what happened, and this is how you have to fix it. So, I called it spoke to a man he sounded middle eastern but with an American name. Don't recall the guy's name right now. Next thing I know I had to give him excess into my computer to fix this, I was hesitated to do this. He went on my Facebook page, and I showed Him what I hit. Then he started asking me if that was my picture on there, I told him that was my granddaughter. Then he went into my pictures to find me that freaked me out. Before I knew it I was talked into all this stuff that they downloaded into my computer and a contract to pay them $850.00. They told me that they only take checks no credit cards that scared me hesitate to do so I wrote out a check for that amount and had to scan it on printer to give to them. I'm not computer smart and I'm 65 years old and retired I really can't afford this, but what do you do. When my son came to the house next day and found out about this, he took my computer and reset it back to its original start date and deleted all the stuff they put in it. The next thing he had me do is stop payment on the check. Since this happened, I have closed that bank account. This happened on Oct. 26/ 23. On Sunday 3 days later, they told me I needed to answer my phone in order for them to proceed with this contract and cash that check. If I didn't answer their call, then it would be cancelled, and they would need to go back in my computer and remove their stuff. Usually, you can cancel a contract within 72 hours. So I didn't answer their call. Before I hung up with them, I talked to a female who was also middle eastern, and she wanted my bank account number again. Which was strange since they had a check already. Here are some of the numbers used to call me. 888-309-0414, 970-373-3154, 970-538-9707 and 888-440-1091. Now comes the interesting part. Here it is Dec. 6/23 and I'm receiving a call from a collection agency on their behave wanting that $850. I no longer have their software in my computer The guy calling is also middle eastern by the name of Robert and a California # 949-755-7908 but he says to call him at this #831-851-8338 ext. 111 to settle this before a lawyer and lawsuit happens also my credit could be affected etc. So now I'm being threatened with a lawsuit for that money. Not sure what to do now. Hope this helps to stop these people from continuing to hold consumers hostage. One other name I need to add to this is Paul Harris he's the money man.
