Likely scam via Facebook messenger resulted in a $210 loss ordering a car part. Seller (George S Samuel) provided me with a tracking number from a road transport company http://globalcargoservicess.com/. When checked information was consistent with sale. Same day 12/2 I received a email as well as a text message indicating they had my shipment and wanted me to verify the info. I did and inquired as to some extra info shown. I was assured it was correct. All direct communication occurred via text messages. Soon after I received a text from the same number asking for me to pay a $140 refundable insurance amount via Zelle, Venmo or Apple Pay before they would deliver. I refused and had a lengthy back and forth telling them to deliver without insurance or send it back to the shipper. I contacted the seller and he insisted it was okay. I again refused to pay it and told him to get it back and refund my money which he has not. Seller is likely a scam as well as he removed all his Facebook comments leaving only a shell of a profile. I contacted him a few days later and he insisted he’s working on it. The cargo site has a lot of incomplete links and no phone numbers or addresses. The texted would not provide their name or more info about their company. I’ve retained photos of websites, Facebook, messenger and text exchanges.
