In July 2019, I clicked on a Facebook ad offering student loan forgiveness, which led me to contact Global Direct Accounting Solutions (agent Neil Swedell) by telephone. After discussing my situation, Mr Swedell offered to reduce my student loans through the Public Service Loan Forgiveness (PSLF) program. He advised me to stop payment with my student loans and they would take over the loan and I would pay them direct. He stated I had to pay 6 installments of about $250 and $80 per month thereafter for the next 20 years upon US Department of Education (DOE) approval. I tried several times to contact Mr Swedell to get a copy of the loan paperwork, only to be told that it is in process at DOE for approval; they never provided me any copy of that paperwork after I electronically signed and submitted it on Jul 25,2019. They debited my bank account $249 for the first initial payment starting in Sep 2019. I ended up paying a total of $747.00 (three months at $249/month) until I decided to end the relationship with GDAS and submit the PSLF paperwork for free myself. I would like them to refund my money of $747 as they are giving false advertising that they will help you with your loans when they are really taking my money for something any person can do for free on their own through the US DOE.
