Type of a scam: Worthless Problem-solving Service Scam

We received an email from [email protected]. Mounika explained that we could buy a lead list of SHRM employees who are preregistered for the SHRM annual conference and expo (this expo occurred in June 0f 2022 and at the time of this report it is July 2022). Mounika asked us to reply if we are interested in scheduling a time to learn more. After replying to Mounika we received an email from [email protected] who explained that Mounika passed us on to him to schedule a time to talk. After a google search, we noticed that tradeedpoadvisory.com does not exist however, globalexpodata.com does. We spoke to Justin on the phone who was very hard to understand and who spoke very quickly. Justin did not have any more information for us than Mounika and explained that he would email us. His quotes for leads were very low $1800 for 18,000 leads and $730 for 5,000 leads. After reviewing the website, we noticed that under services "custom" was spelled custome along with many other errors that made the information difficult to understand. After emailing us the quote Justin called back and wanted to show us samples. We asked Justin about the inconsistences that we noticed with the email and the website, and he had multiple excuses for why Mounika needed a different email address that wasn't connected to a website and for the grammatical errors. We said we didn't want to move forward. Justin then emailed again saying we shouldn't judge a book by its cover. This is my warning to you; this is a very suspicious business don't be blind to the red flags.
