Individual tags someone you know on Facebook and you have a conversation then in the message they say do you want free money it comes from a government grant for retirees, disability and they ask you personal information and ask if you want a check or cash delivered to your house.

I received a message on Facebook messenger from one of my friends. He said that he won a grant and saw my name on the list of winners. He gave me a number to text. I did just to see what it was and then they wanted all this information and then $2000 for deliver of my prize. Then asked for bank info to wire the money to me which I of course did not give.

The hacker will use a facebook profile from one of your relatives or friends and ask how are you doing, then go on about how well they are doing and ask if you have heard of the GGF program. If you say no they will say contact this agent and the number they give you and say you are ready to claim your money for a "small" fee which they described as a file and delivery fee to receive the large sum of money you "win". Your friend will state that they cannot not talk on the phone for a number of reasons when you ask them to call you.
