A letter postmarked from Canada arrived to an elderly person stating they had won “the second category of the international general market survey.” Their total winnings was alleged to be $500,000 and a very real appearing Chase Bank check from “Canais Inc. DBA Harsey & Harsey San Diego”in the amount of $6985 was enclosed to supposedly pay tax, insurance, shipping, and handling. The letter stated to call the claims agent Austin Rollins before acting.
