On 01/15/2018, Roger indicated by phone that I had signs of another virus on my newer PC, a Dell. I gave him remote access and he showed me a list of alerts that were supposedly caused by the WannaCry virus originating in North Korea about May 2017. He then used software called Hit Man Pro to repair and followed with Piriform Cleaner (by HP) to complete the repair. This took about two hours and when done, I was told to use the "cleaner" once a week for future maintenance of my Dell pc. Finally, Roger indicated I could wait until the morning of the 16th of January to pay him by check, just to make sure my computer was "still" working. I used that time to ask a local professional computer repair company to validate what Roger had found and to check for any other bugs. They found nothing and informed me that if I had a WannaCry infection, my machine would have crumped. Further, with MS OS-10, WannaCry could not have breached my machine. Also they indicated an HP cleaner would not have worked on a Dell. At that point, I knew I was scammed and have not paid the $499.99 charge. Other Ohio phone numbers were: helpline at 567.226.4745 and Roger at 567.252.5685.
