On October 12, 2020, my elderly mother says a voice came over her computer that claimed "you have a lot of viruses on your computer. you must call 844-651-2777 for repairs." She called "Global Support/Expert Tech" on her landline. She was on the phone for a couple of hours with them. They asked for $4,000 initially. They changed it to $250 e-check and then another e-check for $2250 for putting a "part" into her computer and PLAN : LIFETIME SECURITY WITH SUPPORT; SERVICES : ALL DEVICES / TRANSFERABLE. She took pictures of the checks on her computer with the device that they installed. They said she could call anytime if there's a problem. She called them again a day or so later to see if they could help with a lost password and a guy said it's working; I'm kind of busy".
