Selling a car online and received email asking my to run a VIN check thru the website above. After doing some research, found out it is a common scam. Ignored further email communications.

I posted my car on craigslist and got a reply pretty quickly from a girl(Rasa) asking for my email to give to her father who was interested in the vehicle. (First red flag) Skipped by it and began messaging this person but they wanted a title report from a website (globaltitlereport.com) for 25$. (Second Flag) Upon clicking the link, it was obviously a scam to a trained eye, plus he dropped the link twice in the email exchange. I didn't purchase anything but did click the link so hopefully, my computer won't die.

I posted an ad on Craigslist for a truck I’m selling. Someone responded to my post asking if I would send my email so that their husband can reach me and then later told me that they were interested and would feel safer if I verified my title through a website

The person in question contacted me by email regarding an advertisement for a vehicle for sale I had posted on Craigslist.

They demanded I visit a website to purchase a vehicle title report as they wanted to buy the vehicle. Upon inspection of the website, it occurred to me that the website may be a scam. A quick search online uncovered this request and website to be potentially fraudulent.

Please see the emails below for a full list of their emails, totaling 3, in chronological order:

I'm reaching you on behalf of my husband. Please give me your email

address so he can get back to you later today.

If is still for sale, can you tell me if you have any problems with your vehicle? I'll appreciate.Thanks

I'm interested and ready to come , see , test and make a deal for it .

I need something rather soon,but i would like to make sure you/vehicle

and all is ok and legit.

For that i need a vehicle Title report ,don`t send an old one or get

something you find,get me the report from https://globaltitlereport.com/

is what my loan officer asked for and needs.I'd just feel safer about

getting a vehicle with an official report because I've had friends and

family get shafted before.

I am selling a vehicle and was contacted by “Hannah” who requested to see a title report from GlobalTitleReport.com on the vehicle for her “loan officer”. I purchased the title report and paid $24.99 and received a legitimate looking report. I emailed “Hannah” and asked for the contact email of her loan officer for which I didn’t receive. I then did some digging and realized the language in the email aligned with other scam type emails.
