I was attempting to renew my global entry and was directed to a fraudulent site (now realizing this). It asked for my name, date of birth, last five years of addresses, last five years of employment and employment address and phone number, passport information, and license information. I submitted and paid this. In a couple of hours I had a strange text and email from a Emarie from Global Entry Assistance. The email was in the form of a ticket. That’s when I did more research and found this is a common tactic for fraud. I have a pending charge on my credit card account, and at checkout I was originally told there was a $100 processing fee. I have not seen that charge yet.
