Answered an employment ad through indeed.com for a remote customer service representative position for Globax limousine. Received an email from a Andrew Strain from Human Resources saying after reviewing my resume wanted to make an offer of employment and asked for me to send him an email stating I accept the offer. Then received another email indicating the list of equipment needed to do this job and said they would be sending a check for $2900.00 which was for the equipment to be ordered and $500 for the first week of employment. Asked for name, phone number and address for check to be mailed. Received a cashiers check for the $2900 and deposited into my bank account. 4 days later my bank said it was returned because it was a fake check. Of course I emailed the Andrew strain back to tell him about this and never heard a reply back. Apparently this was some sort of scam. Not sure what they gained as I did not give any personal bank, SSN information to this person. But beware as this is a scam.
