I found their website (glocks.org) through an internet search for "Rockisland VR-80". They seemed to have a good price so I contacted "sales" for availability and they said it was in stock. The VR-80 is a shotgun that is almost impossible to find these days as many gunshops locally can not get because supplies are so low nationally. So I placed the order and when it came to payment there were no options and said I would be contacted via email or text. I was then contacted and asked to use either Paypal or Zelle and that it had to be sent to a personal account as the "use" policies of the companies did not allow for firearm purchases. So I sent the money to a user on Zelle named JEAN ATEMNKENG ([email protected]) for $604.00. After receiving the payment they said the item would be shipped in 48 hours. Feeling I had just been scammed I started doing some looking around on their site and found nothing creditable about Glocks.org. Glocks.org website FAQ even offered a full refund at any Academy retail location. So I contacted Academy and they are not associated with in any way. I looked Glocks.org up online and found more than a few complaints saying they never got their products and only fake shipping info. I called my bank to see if the transaction could not be reversed so I filed a complaint against the transaction. I doubt I will get my money back but I figured filing this complaint might help others not get scammed like I did.
