I found a cute dog I loved for sale on Craigslist. I thought the seller and I had come to an agreement and they said they lived by a transportation place and I could pay them. That was a bit odd as well but I was exciting so I tried it anyway and now I’m here. Out 300$.

Found a Craig’s list advertisement for the area around Salt Lake City, Utah. Emailed and they responded within minutes( this was 1:30 am) just wanted the two teacup Yorkies to have a good home- they explained that their daughter had just died the month before and the dogs had been a gift to her- they moved to Plano, Texas and couldn’t have the dogs. They weren’t asking anything for them, I offered to go pick them up, a 14 hour drive. They had to leave ASAP as her husbands mother was sick, so they wouldn’t be there when I arrived. Offered to ship the dogs on an airline- sent my info to her- she “arranged” transport but I had to send payment. They sent me an email, wanted me to pay online. They had Facebook and Instagram listed- the links were to a private trainer in LA. Tried to call the service and google picked up the call. They hung up on me and then called me back immediately. The voice on the other end of the phone had a very thick accent. I reversed looked up the phone number- it was an LA number. I emailed the woman back (Sophia Jose) telling her I could make payment to a company that didn’t have legitimate information. She didn’t contact me back.
