The person messaged me on Whatsapp out of the blue saying they are gofundme and was asking if I needed help with funds. When I told yes but I'm not falling for your scam they kept saying they were the real gofundme and then asked if I have a PayPal. I didn't respond but they keep saying hello and I still there and that they need my PayPal to give me funds.

Any I said was to get information I needed to prove they were a scam. I have more chat pictures.

I think this originated with a ten question survey and you can win 100$. I chose a camera and saw postage deducted from my account. Next was the same “address” with a 285 deduction.The deduction says it is Redwood City Gofundme. I tried to talk with someone from their site online. All responses were using names like Marry John, Cartoon Cole, Waliyat Waheed alll with email addresses or phones. They offered money to help me set up a gofundme page when I said I’d handle the issue with the bbb every message they sent deleted. I’m not sure if Redwood City gofundme is real or knows what’s going on. However this is a scam! The website was on one of the text. They didn’t answer then called me to see who I was

After several attempts by both family members and family friends of a deceased loved ones name being used in a charity campaign by a fraudulent person from another country, to try and report this fraud to gofundme, NONE of us was successful using the gofundme website and their procedure to report the fraud! We kept getting a message saying: unable to process request!! So now, the legitimate campaign that is posted, will be compromised and the fraudulent campaign ‘organizer’ I guess gets to continue their opportunity to make money from unsuspecting innocent people, while the actual family goes without!

What kind of a website makes it impossible to report a fraud?!!
