Set up a move with Bella at Gold Standard Moving Company. Her customer service skills were excellent and sounded like a reputable company. Made a deposit from checking account. They contracted out with a Falcon Movers 4 men showed up at 9:30pm and stated Bella underestimated my items and this is a shared truck, precious movers overfilled. They then spoke with their Manager Gabby who suggested they take pictures of my items and offered to take boxes only for extra $300 cash or cashiers check. After long discussions amongst themselves in Spanish they then told me they could take everything for extra $7000 cash or cashiers check. At this point I was uncomfortable with this transaction and had denied movers.

I reached out to Gold Standard Moving Co via phone multiple times without any help. The representative told me to email upper management as there is no phone number. I have done that with no resolution, no response from email. I have a current fraud claim with my Bank in hope of my $1000 refund.

We were scheduling a moving truck and movers for our move from WA to Tx. We did inventory of all of our stuff and got an initial quote that was reasonable but still over $4K. As we got until one week before our move, we itemized it even further and price went up to over $7500. We got rid of half of our household items to keep cost lower and paid them upfront by EFT (they said they can't do a CC or debit card because of Fraud, what a joke!) of $1700 and then another $2500. On our day before our move we called to check in on it and they had moved out moving day out 1 day. We were told throughout this whole process that we would be called 12 hours before and we never were. The next day, the day we needed to be leaving, they said that it was actually the next day that we were scheduled. The day kept changing and we were forced to rent a uhaul and move ourselves and spend an additional $8000. We are distraught and exhausted. Nothing to do but eat this cost I guess...
