Type of a scam Online Purchase
After answered my question he asked me to place an order ( required full name, address, phone number and email address). Next morning he send a sales contract via email. After sending back the contract he asked to choose how to pay but refused PayPal. I was asked to use zelle and gave me his “cashier’s” name and phone number. Also asked me to send a screenshot for the proof of payment. After the payment made, he said he’ll work on the paperwork and give the kitten a final check up. he didn’t contact me until next morning. That time he asked if shipper have contacted me yet. And he handed the kitten to the shipper an hour ago and explained why took so long.
Later on I noticed the email was sent from the name Globex shipping Co. telling me that the kitten can not be shipped until I make deposit $750.00 for the special crate which requires by law because of COVID-19... I felt suspicious and tried to contact the seller but he never get back to me or answer the phone. Then I found a few people reported the business as scam on website called scampulse.com. Later night he contacted me again explaining why he couldn’t get back to me. Then next morning he said he went to pick up the kitten from shelter also told the kitten is exhausted so cannot be shipped till tomorrow. Then he asked me to rent the crate because he can’t afford it.... I tried to get help while the website and his phone line is still active so maybe they can be tracked. But all I was told is file the case online and wait.
