The scammer claimed to be a professional service dog trainer and we hired her to help us procure and train a service dog for our teenage daughter, who is disabled. We found a puppy with some training from a breeder, and the scammer convinced us that we should allow her to pick up the puppy from the breeder and keep the puppy for three months to provide a good foundation for training. When we received the puppy three months later she was undersized and very thin; they had been underfeeding the puppy for months. The puppy no longer had the training and skills it had when it left the breeder; it seems that the scammer had been using an ecollar and prong collar the whole time to coerce the puppy into obedience instead of actually training her. Not only that, but the scammer had actively taught the puppy bad behaviors such that it is impossible now to use the dog as a service dog. The scammer refuses to give us the video recordings she claims she has of the training sessions we paid for. We have since found postings on social media from others who have been harmed by this “trainer.”
