Type of a scam Online Purchase
"Tip:to ensure that your payment is completed successfully, please keep the credit card's cardholder's name and address consistent with the recipient and the shipping address. Thank you for your support, enjoy your shopping."
This was a little weird because from my online shopping experience your billing address has to match card holder's address, NOT your shipping address.
Another flag that I "missed" was that normally, when you buy from a reputable online store (in the United States), the checkout process includes entering your credit card info prior to confirming the order, in this situation I had to click "confirm order" and then the system took you into credit card processing (Not sure what happened here, my judgement was clouded...).
After that I looked into my order history and noticed that my transaction was pending. I have to thank my credit card company for staying on top of their game and blocking the transaction at it's root. I called them up and they advised me that although there is no transaction for the amount of what I ordered, there was another transaction for a larger amount, that was declined coming from China. We agreed that the safest thing would be is to change the CC account number.
Hopefully this stops here.
However, they do have my address and email address that I was not able to change in the "account update" tab.
Did I mention that this originated from a facebook Ad...
