They charged $600 to fly a Labrador puppy to my husband and I. The next day they had a shipping company contact us and tell us we had to pay a $30 fee for the shipping crate for the puppy to be in in a $950 reimbursable fee once they received the crate back from us when the puppy arrived. I called the shipping company multiple times and spoke to someone there. The shipping Co was called LongHaul Shippers at their phone number: 580-374-6773. I knew at that point when I received the shipping companies information that it was a scam. I decided to call the shipping company just to see what they said. The first time I called the gentleman was cordial. I asked him why they needed so much money to ship my puppy. He said because the breeders brought the dog in the wrong kind of carrier. Which if they were actually readers who do this all the time they would know what kind of carrier to bring the dog in. Then the guy told me you had to put the $950 deposit down because they’ve had to take people to court three times because they did not get their crates back when the dog arrived. I told him I’m calling BS on this whole thing. He got agitated and said to me are you going to pay to pick up your dog or not? I said absolutely not you don’t have my dog. He cursed at me and hung up the phone. I was really angry so I called back. He answered the phone a second time and I said where is the dog? He said are you going to pay? I said absolutely not and I hung up on him. A short while later I called back because I want to see if the phone number still worked… Not shockingly it no longer worked. I have emailed back to the good home labradors email several times to tell them I was contacting the fraud agencies and Better Business Bureau. I’ve gotten nothing from them but they were very quick to email the day before when we were setting it all up. I recognize I was stupid to pay for the puppy initially. And should’ve asked more questions. But I would like to do what I can so nobody else gets taken advantage of.
