They contacted me via LinkedIn and scheduled an interview with me via Microsoft Teams. They submitted an offer via email ([email protected]). With their offer of employment they also inquired for my banking details which I provided with my acceptance of employment. I was told I would be paid weekly as an administrative assistant. Initially my pay was delayed by 2 weeks. I then received a check for $4470.77 that was supposed to be for equipment and my pay. I was told this would be a one time occurrence and remaining payments would be direct deposited. The check was deposited on 10/23/24 and the company reversed the check on 10/24/25. I was told that this was an accounting error and they reissued another check on 10/24/24 for $4400.00 via UPS. They then issued a stop payment on the check, stating they would be sending me another check to over overdraft and convenience fees. I then received a check for $8970.35 to cover the damages for the reversal on 10/25/24. I was assured multiple time by Human Resources and my trainer Misbah Sarwar ([email protected], [email protected]) that this an accounting error and they had gone through the necessary verifications to correct this error in a timely fashion. On 10/30/24 the check reversed leaving my account $-12,919.77. Human Resources nor my trainer Misbah Sarwar has responded to me as of 10/30/24. I now believe the company operated in bad faith with the purpose of committing fraud against American citizens.
