My computer was locked and, unfortunately, I called the above number because I thought it was a legit message from Microsoft. Someone with a deep accent from India offered to help me resolve the problem and to scan my computer. He even gave me his name, Steve (not a indu name) and his work ID (RAJ402). Once the scan was completed he said that I've hacked and tried to sell me products to resolve the issue for the cost of $350.00. Until then I realized that I made a huge mistake allowing this person to run my computer. I hanged up and took my computer to BestBuy where I found out that this type of scam has been happening frequently.
