He called me , saying that he was with the office of Dennis Smith at CBP in Washington, DC. The phone number my phone showed was 747-244-0819 and he told me that his direct number was 915-440-0760, which shows up as a scam here on BBB.org. He said I was being investigated due to a woman in Mexico using my name to send an illegal package of drugs. He claimed that multiple Social Security cards with my name on them were found in the packages and since CBP found my record to be clean, they figured it must be identity theft. He said I should go to the El Paso, Texas CBP office to fill out an Asset Verification Form. This , supposedly, would help them distinguish my real assets from the ones that the lady from whom they would "protect" me is using.

The scammer pretended to be the US border patrol and told me that a package with drugs had been found coming from Mexico with my name on it. They asked me to verify my current address and then banks that I bank with as well as send a picture of myself with my lD.

They three people posting as border patrol and try to get me to go to the bank because they need to freeze my account due to illegal packages and drug laundering in my name
