Man represented he represented the Sheriff's Department. Asked if I had received a summons in the mail the previous week. When I said no, started verification by noting my legal name, address. I stopped him when he had my birth date correct. Told him if I could call him back after I verified with the sheriff's office if he was real. He stated his name was Chandler Gorner and his number was (858) 365-3780. The sheriff office never heard of him and suggested this site. Surprised that the number does work and the answering machine message still notes he is from the sheriff's office.
