I was contacted by a person I thought was a trusted former co-worker and friend on facebook messenger. She told me she had gotten a $90,000 grant from Beverly Don. She sent me a screen shot of Beverly Don's facebook page, and told me she had received a $90,000 Community Development Block Grant. I found out later that her facebook account had been hacked. I contacted Beverly Don at (https:www.facebook.com/profile.php/id=100090311585935). She responded requesting my name, age, phone number, annual income,, address, and information about me. I told her her how I had lived in my house, how old my house is and that my house needs repair. That was on Sunday night 12-17-23. She contacted me on Monday morning 12-18-23 to tell me I had been approved for the grant (should have been my 1st red flag). She also told me I could select the amount for the grant I wanted which ranged from from 50,000-one million with the fees for each amount different. The higher the amount the more the tax and fees.

I selected the $90,000 grant. During this time I was getting constant encouragement from the person I thought was my friend. After selecting the grant amount. I was told by Beverly Don that I needed to pay $2750 in cash for tax and fees. I sent that amount overnight delivery cash UPS to Anthony Thomas 5804 Babcock #107 San Antonio, Texas 78248-2134 (2nd red flag). After receiving that amount on the 19th Beverly Don contacted me and told me I needed to get a Clearance Certificate from FEDX which would cost $6000 (3rd red flag). I sent the $6000 dollar in cash to Angela Reyes 8533 SW 5th Street #201 Pembroke Pines FL. 33025. I sent it overnight UPS and was told I would receive the grant in 24 hours. I was suppose to receive the grant by FEDX at 3:00p.m. today 12-21-23, however, at 12:38 Beverly Don emailed me stating that the the envelope containing the grant had been held up at the the airport by the IRS. She stated she needed an addition $15000 for the envelope to be released. I finally came to my senses. We went back and forth on emails until 3:08 12-21-23. I did inform her that I knew they were running a scam and demanded my money + the amount I spent on overnight UPS delivery. I have not heard form Beverly Don since 3:08p.m. ***** ****** *** *** **** ****************** *
