Today, I received a call from the reported phone number which was a recording stating that my Social Security number is linked to debt and criminal fraud and that I had an arrest warrant and I would be transferred to an agent to get it cleared up then I was transferred to an agent who identified himself as “Robert Smith” (although he had a very foreign accent) and I asked where he is located. He told me “Texas”. I then asked what company he works for. He said “Government”. He asked me to provide him with my date of birth and my Social Security number. I told him I wasn’t going to supply it and he disconnected the call.
