The caller called my work phone number and asked for me by name. He informed me that the government treasurer dept. owed me $5,680 in money. He barely spoke legible English so I could barely understand his name. Of course, he asked for my debit card/bank account information so that he could deposit the money into my account. I told him he was calling a legal business in fact I work at a Law Firm. I told him that he was a scam artist. He said I am not. I said yes you are the government does not owe me any money, in fact, I am paying them for years now for student loans.
