I responded to an advertisement on Kijiji to a personal email. The seller offered to sell and ship me the item via the use of an escrow service by the name of Govexo Trading Corporation. They sent me a link to the website where I was reauired to register as a user, information included my name, shipping address and email address. The site looked very legitimate and had many layers of information to substantiate the credibility of the organization. Being that I am fairly familiar with online shopping, I found I was suspicious that I had never heard of the company Govexo before and decided to do some background research through the internet on them. There was very limited information available regarding this company, primarily just posts on random forums, none of which being highly reliable sources of information. All feed back was positive. Govexo then sent me an email, with another link to their website with an invoice attached for the item that was to be sold and it included instruction on how to make payment to an account in the United Kingdom via wire transfer. There were no other options of payment made available. Searching the Company name and or associated acronyms, never ever led me to the company website. The only access I could find to the company website was through the link included in the sellers email. Although much of the information provided seemed very legitimate, my suspicions are enough to discontinue the transaction.
