Type of a scam Government Agency Imposter
Once I had paid I was told that they were sending a packet in the snail mail.
I immediately protested, requested a refund.
Their email said they would get back to me within one business day.
Haven’t heard back 5 days later.

The legitimate agency sent via mail the check request and a completed notarized form. Weeks later when I inadvertently emailed the scammer regarding the status, they knew exactly where to direct me (correctly!). It was the legitimate agent whom I spoke to who noted they only requested a $25 check and notary form, not any $59.95 processing fee, and that I was scammed. She said it’s been happening to many people and to report to
the BBB.
