Was contacted on facebook messenger by a close family friend who it turns out has passed away. given a phone number to text: 1-206-401-0642 about the gradient grant fund @ gradientgrantfund.com which piggy backs onto "gradient gives back" which actually is a charitable organization. They are asking for 2500 to get 150000 right away. Well, free money for an up front fee sounded too good to be true and I didn't think that the government would actually do a Federal Grant like that and the nail in the cofrfin was that there is no online history for the website with thousands of 5 star ratings and ScamPulse.com A+ rating.. They went very heavy on the "faith based rhetoric". God's blessing of hope and I pray that you are approved (to give us money) and so on... The problem was that I trusted this close family friend and I didn't see through it right away.. Reported the FB profile as taken over and notified a relative to lock the account or memorialize it.
