After applying to a bunch of jobs via Indeed, I got an email for an interview for a Data Entry job for Grand Island Investment Co. They had a very simple website to provide and even insisted I browse the site during the interview. The interview was done over text via an encrypted messenger app, all of their messages were pre-typed, and at the end, the "hiring director" said I got the job and instructed me to receive a check to purchase the required software and hardware. I told them I was not comfortable receiving a check out of the blue from a company I don't know. They insisted it was company policy. I requested a copy of their company policies because that practice was scammy. Never heard from them again.

Contacted via email. Email was "off". Not professional; i.e. additional comas, asking to do interview over signal ap, grammar off.
