I was contacted via WhatsApp to work for Graph Digital as a Data Promotion Assistant rating mobile apps using their proprietary User platform (Graphsmile.com). After training, I was required to pay $100 ("recharge") to activate a task which consisted of a 3 data sets (40 apps/set) which I would grade from 1-5 stars using their rating system. Once all 3 data sets were completed, I received my $100 back plus commissions earned for the task. The platform has "lucky data" which appears randomly during the rating process, and requires additional funds be added by the User in order to complete the tasks, paying higher commissions as a result. The platform has 4 levels of participation, VIP1 - VIP4, VIP1 requiring $100 to start, VIP2 requiring $1500, and so on. After working in VIP1 for a few days and earning $100 - $300 in commissions daily, I was encouraged by other Users to move to VIP2 for higher commissions. Once I started down this path, I kept hitting lucky data, requiring additional funds, until my total investment was over $20,000. I was assured by my supervisor, the support team and the CEO in the UK that all my funds + commissions would be accessible after finishing my first data set in this new VIP2 mode, but once I did, I was informed that another $15,700 would be needed in order to complete my payment transaction. At this point, I requested cancellation of my account and a full refund of my principal investment (excluding commissions). I was refused and told either I needed to pay the $15,700 or move to level VIP3, where I would earn more commissions, but needed to complete 2 more sets of data (55 app/each) and there it was likely I would hit more "lucky data" in the process, requiring further investment to complete the task. I am being asked daily to choose either of these options, being assured my money is "secure". I have filed a complaint here as well with the FBI under the IC3 filing.
