Instagram ad by account @grasswood.gr22 offered "Judy Blue" bootcut jeans, a popular boutique brand. Ordered 2 pairs 1/12/24, for $39.99 each. Shipping was $4. Total in emailed order confirmation was $83.98. Total charged via PayPal was $100.78; PayPal shows a charge of $16.80 for tax. Shipping confirmation came from Croatia (first sign this was a scam). Saw another Instagram ad by the same account 1/31/2024 with a video claiming "We're not one of those scam accounts, we're based in California!" I commented that the product I'd ordered had shipped from Croatia; the post on which I commented has since been removed. Product was received 2/5/24. Jeans were not Judy Blue brand and were, in fact, FAR inferior quality. Very thin, poor materials, poorly constructed, odd sizing -- all around terrible and not as expected. Emailed the customer support to request a return and was told they "did not send the wrong product" and hoped I could accept an apology. Clicked through my Instagram activity and found the original ad; it has been removed. The Instagram user account has been removed. Website https://www.grass-wood.com is still active and I see now that it doesn't say "Judy Blue" on the actual website anywhere -- that's my stupid mistake.
