I was contacted by phone for a magazine service and was promised a $500 gift card to Lowe’s just for signing up for monthly subscription to 5 magazines a month. I have only received 3 magazines and have not received a gift card. When I tried to cancel because I am no longer employed they only offered to lower my payment down to $19.99 a month. I asked to speak to a supervisor because if I have 0 income, I can not pay them anything and need to cancel. Timmothy the representative told me there are no supervisors and I still can’t cancel my account because it’s past the first 14 days and I will be charged monthly for 5 years. He shows no empathy and could care less about the consumer. When I stated I would report them to ScamPulse.com because I find it hard to believe there are no supervisors and no steps to take for unfortunate circumstances he said I could report until my heart is content that they will just put me through to collections and then hung up. This is not how you conduct business with a consumer. Very poor customer service... only what I would expect from a scam or crook. I called back and spoke with a lady and she had an attitude as well. I was upset when exposing my situation and accidentally let a cuss word come out and then she proceeded to cuss at me after i apologized for my slip. This also was unprofessional of her to do. My fiancé had a bad experience with them as well. She was able to cancel her account and they were still withdrawing money from her account. They would continue to call her years after as well, even after “canceling” account.
