I found “great French bulldog puppies” website while searching for French bulldogs in my area. I found a puppy I really liked and decided to email them for further information. The scammer reached out over email with all the appropriate information on the dog then wanted me to sign a takeover of ownership of the puppy. I realized a few red flags right away. First the information on the document showed the dog being a male when on the website it was a female. Also, after much back I finally was informed they lived in Florida and I would have to pay for additional shipping. That was fine but I wanted a break down of the extra charge that would be included in the shipping on the dog. I could not get a real answer of that but they kept insisting I send $500 to ensure my spot. I did not feel comfortable doing that with no information on that additional costs and planning of the transaction. I felt if I gave my money to them I would not receive a dog nor my money back this is a scam. They use the photos of sweet innocent French bulldogs to lure people into paying whatever the demand for the hope of a dog. My suspicions were also confirmed when i checked the data base of the KCA and they were not registered when they said the dogs had been.
