I was searching for a golden retriever puppy when I came across their website (it was the first selection at the time on Google). They stated the puppy “Kessey” was $800 due to: “Kessey cost $800.00 flat, BUT WHY CHEAP? We're giving a 50% discount because we're expecting our new litter on the 26th of next month so we want to sell them in order to reduce the workload since we have other jobs.” Seemed odd, so I pressed on about breeding rights. Which they stated they would authorize. They were located at 4527 Fairmont Ave Lynchburg VA 24502. With email of [email protected] and phone number 434-233-0389 After I agreed, they sent me a “Bill of Sale.”
The Bill of sale had some typos and stated it was signed by Henry Peters however the actual signature does not appear to spell out Henry Peters.
After I didn’t respond (they sent me the email at 8:18PM) at 9:55AM the next day (7/31/21) they sent me a message asking if I was still interested as they can’t put a hold on the puppy which was not paid for. The Bill of Sale stated that the puppy would be on a limited registration which meant puppies from Kessey would not be able to be registered with the AKC. I reached out and after some back and forth, they reluctantly agreed to change the clause. I have not heard from them since.
I reversed image searched the main picture they used to advertise Kessey and came back as that it had been used before on a foreign website, but I did not see the actual listing. The picture I attached was the puppy I had inquired about (but did not receive since I did not pay).
