I bought a Green Dot Debt Card from Walmart, I planned to buy something online and did not want to use my personal debt card. I went to use the Card online and found I needed to registor the card inorder to use it. So I can called to activate the card and they wanted my Social security number along with some other info that I was uncomfortable giving out, Expectially after I heard a roaster crowing in the back ground during my phone number. I gave them a fake name of John Brown along with my real phone number and address. but they would not process the card since I refused to give my social. I ended up using the card at a gas station. about a week later I started getting calls for a John Brown for medicare benefits over the next few weeks I started getting calls for other random spam type things for John Brown. so it sounds like I made a good choice not giving my real name and my social. I just wanted people to be aware of their activity.
