I represent Green Dragon Books, a legitimate book publisher. One of our company email accounts was hacked and used to correspond with people who applied to two fraudulent job postings on Linked. These were also under the guise of Green Dragon Books. No such jobs exist. This is an elaborate check cashing scam, international in scope. If you have been in contact with these thieves do not provide any personal or financial Info! Contact your local police dept and file a report, also contact LinkedIn to let them know about the scam. The FTC would also like to hear of your experience to help track these people down.

I received an email from a Linkdin job for a Proofreader with Green Dragon Books. The interview was very unusual, done through Skype chat. The Skype ID is live:.cid.d65af6c3c34f3b and Skype email is [email protected]. I received a job offer letter, signed by someone named Hannah Cody with the contact information provided previously. I was already suspicious, and did some internet investigation and was alerted to this scam. I also called the actual Green Dragon Books and talked to a real person, who informed me that this was not a legitimate job posting. I have also reported this information to the Federal Trade Commission, but I want to make sure this scam is stopped. Not only are they harming a small business by impersonating them, but they are taking advantage of people during these trying times.
