Thank you for contacting me about my 2013 Subaru Outback 3.6R Limited .It has 57,319 miles, automatic transmission and was never involved in an accident. The Suv is in excellent and immaculate condition. No hidden damage or defects. I have a clear title under my name, free of any liens or loans. The price is firm, $9,800. I am selling it because my husband died a month ago (he suffered a heart attack) and it brings me bad memories, so I want to sell it as soon as possible. My daughter and I decided to sell the house and we moved with my parents in Wichita KS trying to start a new life.
Let me know if you are interested in buying it or if you have any questions.
P.S. Attached you can find more pictures!
Thank you for your interest!
The second email said: Hi Tara,
Thanks for the reply. The title is clean does not show any accident or mechanical problems. So our current situation is that my daughter and I decided to go for a fresh start, so we sold the house and moved to my parents in Wichita Kansas. We are trying to start a new life. The quad is here in Wichita Kansas , stored with all the paperwork at the shipping company (Green Shippers) and ready to be delivered to its new owner. I want to use their escrow and transport services as they offer 100% protection and insurance to both buyers and sellers. The best part about this is that you have five days to try it out before making any purchase and if by any reason you find something you don't like about it, you can send it back at my expense. If you are interested in knowing more info about how it works, you can reply with your whole name, address and phone # so I can notify Green Shippers that you are my selected buyer, and they will contact you right away with all the details, with no obligation to buy it.
Regards
The third email said: Theoretically, you will have to make the payment upfront. Because they have to protect both the buyer and the seller. That means that they can't ship it to you unless you have deposited the money upfront, BUT they won't release the money to me until you complete your 5 day trial and make a decision regarding the purchase. We can have them to send you an invoice, its free, so you can get more details on how this works and get in touch with them. The shipping is free, all that you will be paying is the price of the suv. The shipping will be paid by me!
The fourth email said: If you want to move forward, just mail me back with: FULL NAME, SHIPPING ADDRESS, AND PHONE# so I can notify Omaha Transports that you are selected as my buyer, and they will contact you with more details and you will only get more details on how this works. Besides, you will have their toll free phone number and you can call them to ask more about the company.
The fifth email said: Please don' take it the wrong way, but I speak on the phone with the buyers that are also interested in receiving the invoice, as a token of their seriousness regarding the transaction, do you also want to receive the invoice? Please don't take it the wrong way, but I have so many people emailing me, I would be sitting on the phone all day and chat
The sixth email said: Hello again, Tara
Omaha transports responds much more promptly to potential customers and I want to move on with them and here is their website www.omaha-transports.com and you have their toll free phone number. To be able to contact the company on behalf of the buyer, you need to give me the delivery address to be able to find out who you are, I can still get them to send you the invoice so you can get more insight on how this works, with no obligation to buy it. Thanks!
Ultimately I then found an exact similar story on ScamPulse.com and I knew it was all phony. The phone number came from Colorado, and there is no such thing as GREEN-SHIPPERS, plus they then mentioned Omaha Transports. I knew it was too good to be true and never thought I would encounter a fraud on Craigslist.
