I received a call from 866-996-4930 stating there was a claim pending and that I will lose my claim if I did not respond and for me to call 855-904-2362. I was unsure as to what this was for so I called, a man answered and I informed him that I missed a call and did not know what the call was for. He asked me my name and I asked why and then he proceeded to say my name and stated that I had an outstanding loan with an agency and needed to pay and that I have not paid them in over a year and asked how would I like to take care of the situation. I asked him to send me a letter through the postal mail so that I can confirm that the company is legit and to see if I do owe a balance. He stated that he will not send me a letter and that they do not do that. I then informed him that a legit collections agency will send the debt owed in writing and since he would not I would call the company that alleged the initial debt. He proceeded to state that I was not going to call the company as I have not done so in a year. I informed him that he did not know what he was talking about nor the situation of what was going on and he stated that he did and for me to have a bad day. i disconnected the call. I realized i did not get a company name and so i called back and asked for it in which the same man answered and told me the company name was green square, the man proceeded to ask if it was me again by stating my name but i disconnected the call. i did my research and learned that this has been an ongoing issue with this company. i feel harassed and has blocked the number from contacting me. I will call the creditor in which he named to inquire about the so called debt
