I was sent an email stating that I was found from LinkedIn by account claiming to be HR for Groupon. I was told to contact @GrouponHRDesk on an app called Telegram to do the interview for a remote customer service position. There was no audio or video, only IM, which is a huge red flag and common in these employment scams. The person was called "Abraham Reid-Slaughter", and he is not found on Groupon's LinkedIn page.
He gave me a very typical, thorough interview and later told me that I was hired. I was already very suspicious, but he sent me over the edge when he told me that I was to be mailed a check to buy the equipment that I would need to work, and if I had a Citi Bank near me. I told him I didn't, but pretended to go along with him by saying I'd wait for the employment documents I would need to sign. The next day, I got an email with attachments to fill out a W4, I-9, and a crude-looking letter of employment that I would need to sign to work for them. They even told me to send a picture of myself to create a company ID. That's how far this scam went.
I messaged the Telegram account again to express my concern over how suspicious the whole process was sounding, and had him reiterate what was happening with this check. He avoided addressing my concerns, and I finally told him that I would be reporting him to Groupon. He immediately replied, "Have a nice day!"
I must note that this started on 4/6/2022 and we last messaged on 4/8/2022. That was the last day he was seen online. I'm only now posting this on 4/18/22 because I contacted Groupon about what happened, and they didn't even dignify me with a response when I went to their website to report this.

We purchased a listed groupon which they both provided fake confirmation of reservation and altered the agreement substantially after the purchase was made. They took our money and left us with a worthless groupon and no reservations (per the hotel involved). Their response so far has been to admit guilt 3 times in writing, take our money, hang up on us in a "chat", provide confirmation of reservations that do no exist, and offer (after hours of effort by us) to "make things right" with $35 dollars in groupon bucks (stole almost $400 to date...).

Groupon placed a second order for the identical item after one order was already placed. I called my amex and they said groupon does this all the time. This is unethical and fraudulent. I will be contacting the ScamPulse.com regarding this and voicing my concern on social media as well.
I received an email that appears to be from Groupon, using the Groupon logo. The email states there are problems with two computers I've purchased. (I've not purchased any computers from Groupon.) The information at the bottom of the page looks legit as well, with a hyperlink to customer support, and the Groupon name and company address.

Groupon sold a service that is no longer in business. When I contacted groupon for a refund they said it was outside of there 3 day policy to refund the money and there is nothing they can do. Groupon is still selling that out of business service on their website.

I was scheduling a hotel thru groupon and having trouble so I called the company. The receptionist told me to make a new account which I did. So I booked the hotel on the new account. I was charged twice for the hotel. They said on the phone I booked it twice so I can't be refunded and they have no proof of me contacting them so they can't help me. I booked the hotel once on the new account. The receptionist claims I booked it twice. He would not let me speak to a supervisor.
